bossed; round in shape, with a rounded projection in the centre

umbraculiform (adj)

uncate (adj)
terminated by a sharply curved hook

uncinate (adj)

undulate (adj)
wavy; alternately concave and convex

unequal (adj)

unguiculate (adj)
of petals tapering to a narrow base

unilocular (adj)

upper pitcher (n)
the form of Nepenthes pitcher found on the upper portion of the plant. See also lower pitcher

urceolate (adj)
pitcher-shaped; as campaniform, but with the orifice more contracted

Utricularia (g)
an extremely widespread genus of over 200 species including aquatic , epiphytic and terrestrial species; bladderwort
