valve (n)
a segment into which a dry fruit dehisces

vasculate (adj)
vase-shaped; olliform

vegetative (adj)
concerning the growth of leaves as opposed to flowers; concerning non-sexual reproduction by means of cuttings, grafting etc.

vein (n)
a rib of tissue, usually in a leaf

venation (n)
the arrangement of veins within a leaf

ventricose (adj)
distended; inflated

vermiculate (adj)
worm-shaped

vernation (n)
the arrangement of leaves within a leaf bud

verticil (n)
a circular arrangement of parts around an axis; a whorl

vesicle (n)
a bladder or other hollow structure aiding flotation
